Debris from the sea!

Driftwood is carried to the shore seasonally with ocean currents and tides, so there are certain times of the year the beach is more "littered" with wood.  It is a form of debris, mostly due to fallen trees washed to the shore and from man-made wooden structures.

All of my wood is hand collected from a "secret" location in Northern California. Then the wood is hand-crafted into unique artwork such as trees, stars, heart and seahorses... no two pieces are alike!

I have always had a fond love of the sea and this type of art allows me time near the shore and time for my own creativity, when not attending to my five kids!  I love how weathered and rustic the wood is and how each piece reminds me of the sea.
